Ella is a custom-built 39-foot monohull launched in 2002. Designed and built by architect Graham Roberts as his fifth personal vessel, she features strip-planked Western Red Cedar construction encased in woven rovings and epoxy. This construction method results in a hull that is lighter and stiffer than standard fiberglass production boats. The vessel has had three owners and has most recently served as a full-time liveaboard for the last three years, including an Atlantic crossing.
