SV Joshua is a 45-foot cruising sailboat built by Fair-Dinkum in Vancouver, Canada, designed by French naval architect Philipe Subrero. The boat has a beam of 14′ 4″ and a minimum draft of 6′ 5″. The hull and deck are made of solid aluminum, with 5000 and 6000 series aluminum used throughout the construction. The yacht is powered by a single 44 HP inboard diesel engine, and it has a cruising speed of 8 knots. The boat has three staterooms and one head, accommodating up to six people. SV Joshua has a construction designed for strength and safety, with a 1/4″ aluminum plate used for the fin keel, skeg, balanced rudder, and hull. The freeboard is constructed with 3/16″ aluminum plate. The entire hull is coated with a minimum of three inches of grade A fire retardant foam insulation.
